My exhibition is now up and running at the Environment
& Sustainability Institute in Cornwall. It concludes a
year-long collaboration with Dr Jonathan Bennie under the ESI/RANE
Creative Exchange Programme, during which we made a study of
microclimates on a Devon farm — with a view to growing bananas.
Attempting to grow a tropical fruit such as bananas outdoors in the UK demands a leap of faith and an act of imagination. The project has been focused on envisaging alternative versions of our everyday growing and eating practices.
