West Quarter trade, now and then
Have secured the wonderful Tuckers Hall for the launch of our show Stowage. Dating from the 15th century, it was built by Company of Weavers, Tuckers and Shearmen, who still own it today. They were the guild that controlled the woollen cloth trade in Exeter, a source of enormous wealth for the city until the end of the 18th century.
